Not My First Ditch
This cache was high in a tree. Or high for me. I pulled the branch down to get it. I could reach it but I needed both hands to unscrew it. I tried to get Cora to go back to the jeep to get her dad. She said just hold me up. Tod yelled from the jeep - Just put Cora on your shoulders. Very funny. She climbed on my back. I was rocking and swaying trying to keep her steady as she got one leg around my shoulder. Tod got out of the jeep so he could laugh at us and take pictures. Very funny (not). She got the cache open. I got her down to sign it. Then, I had to put her back up to put the cache away. She dropped the paper. So, I had to bend down with her on one of my shoulders. More laughing and swaying. My daughter is a monkey.
Make the Moat of It
Cache in Tinnin Farms. I wish I had that house, and that one, and that one, etc. Cora peeked in one of the backyards. "I want to live there. They have a gianormous backyard."
Vineyard View by Tealeaf
Parked by the vineyard and realized we had to be on the other side of the ditch. Parked a ways down the road. Cora and I walked 500 feet on the other side of the ditch to find the cache. It was an easy find. Cora had to go to the bathroom. So, I sent her walking back to the jeep where her dad was waiting. She walked about half way back and then turned around and started running and screaming toward me. OMG! A dog attack, a monster!!! I ran to her. Tod was following her in the jeep on the other side of the ditch, yelling. I caught up to her. Tod was laughing! Dogs on the other side of the fence. I had to roll up the little cache 3 times to get it back in the tube. Then, Cora walked back to the jeep. She squeezed my hand and hid behind me the whole time. The dogs were scary. Two mean loud blue heelers. I kept saying its okay but walk faster. Not that it's over it's kinda funny. Remember, Stand By Me, "Sick balls Chopper!"
Girl Scout Cache
Drove by the winery and through Chavez residence. Walked across a little bridge that turned my stomach when we crossed it. Sounded like a wild animal in the yard by the ditch. We got to the zero point and realized the cache was temporarily closed.
Rustic and Rusty
This is our second time looking for this cache. I looked with Cora for about 15 minutes. Couldn't find anything. Tod got out of the jeep where he was waiting with the baby. He found it right away. "It's one of her typical ones. I don't know why we missed it." Cora said "I feel like going to sleep." "Go ahead" I said. "I don't wanna miss all the fun." she answered.
Two Crosses
This was a multicache at Mount Carmel on Edith. We met a fellow cacher. Tod and him went to find the cache. I took the girls to the park. Very nice park by Our Lady of Mount Carmel church.
Geocaching and GPS Adventures
This blog is dedicated to my wonderful husband who has made my life an adventure. We started geocaching in 2005. We have found 98 caches to date. I think we will break 100 this weekend!
